How has your confidence changed in the past 10 years?

My confidence has changed massively over the past 10 years and for the best. In 2013 my ex partner was still causing problems for me by causing damage to my parents and brother’s properties.

That resulted in them distancing me for a while which massively impacted on my confidence and self-esteem.

Why do you think that is?

My confidence is better because I decided I couldn’t live like that anymore and tried to understand my parents and brother’s anger towards me for being involved with this man in the first place.

I tried to see things from their point of view.

Also in 2018 I started studying and training in NLP which I think was probably the turning point for me.

Do you feel invisible? How does that show up?

Tough question- and yes I probably do feel invisible in some areas of my life. One particular which involves my partner’s grown up daughter. I don’t have the conversation with her that I’d like to have because I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t help

Tell me about a woman that inspires you.

Princess Diana definitely. She seemed to just get on with her life despite what had allegedly happened to her.

A lady I used to do some work in her NLP Training Company Rebecca Lockwood also inspires.

I met Rebecca in 2019 when we were both doing training to become NLP trainers. She was so dedicated and focused on what she wanted and worked hard towards it.

What worries you about ageing?

I used to get really worried and frightened about ageing. Now though I’m more accepting of it especially since my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimers early this year.

It frustrates me that I’m not as fit as I used to be.

What excites you about ageing?

I think being 3 years off 60 is quite exciting. I’m interested to know if I’ll age well which I think I have been doing so far .

What advice would you give your 15 year old self?

Don’t have so many hang ups girl, just be yourself, stop trying to fit in with the gang”.
