Carrie Bower is the founder of

Know Your Place 

Carrie has a wealth of experience of working with older people accross England in various roles in the NHS, Adult Social Care & Charity Sector. Carrie is a registered social worker, accredited trauma informed trainer, is media trained & is Domestic Homicide Review Chair qualified.

Alongside her freelance work, she is the Domestic Abuse Lead at the UK’s largest national charity working for older people.

Training

The following sessions can be delivered to organisations, by Carrie.

Understanding Trauma Informed Practice 


Half day introductory session aimed at professionals  & mental health first aiders.

This is not a therapeutic toolkit & the content isn’t gender specific. 

It will develop your critical thinking about the medical model of mental health, using a trauma informed model.

The Psychology of Victim Blaming & Self Blame of Women & Girls Subjected to Sexual Violence 

This is a full day session is specifically aimed at those working with women & girls.

Sessions are delivered online via Zoom

CPD certificates will be provided for each attendee.
